Ajel News

Cultural and educational landmarks surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque are offering pilgrims and visitors opportunities to engage more deeply with Islamic history and heritage during their visit to Madinah.

Among the most prominent destinations is the Prophet’s Mosque Expansion Exhibition, which traces more than 1,400 years of the mosque’s architectural development through interactive displays, historical artifacts and detailed models spanning from the Prophetic era to modern-day Saudi expansions.

Nearby, the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, operated by the Muslim World League, uses technologies including virtual reality and holograms to present exhibits on the life of Prophet Muhammad and the development of Islamic civilization in multiple languages.

Also drawing visitors is the As Safiyyah Museum and Park, located south of the mosque, which uses digital and multimedia presentations to narrate the story of creation and the lives of prophets from Adam to Muhammad.

The sites combine religious visitation with historical and cultural learning, adding an educational dimension to the pilgrimage experience.
