Buraidah Dates Carnival Proves Successful Season with Strong Turnout

Ajel News

The Buraidah Dates Carnival is experiencing a successful season, drawing large numbers of residents, visitors, and diplomatic delegations, solidifying its status as a major tourist and entertainment destination.

The carnival offers a wide range of cultural, educational, and entertainment activities, including folk performances, theatrical shows, and sections for family-run businesses and handicrafts.

Sulaiman Al-Fayez, supervisor of the carnival's accompanying events, noted that the strong turnout from across the Kingdom and the Gulf region, including ambassadors and investors, highlights the carnival's distinguished status. He explained that the event has evolved beyond being the world's largest date market to become a platform for tourism, entertainment, and marketing, reflecting the growing economic and cultural activity in Qassim Region.

Held under the supervision of the Qassim Principality and organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates in collaboration with other partners, the event supports Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting local heritage, boosting national products, and strengthening the agricultural sector.
