AlUla Governorate has designated a number of open-air venues for residents and visitors to watch matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering football fans a unique viewing experience amid the region’s dramatic desert landscapes and iconic rock formations.
The fan zones will screen all matches involving Saudi Arabia, as well as key international, Arab and Gulf fixtures, providing gathering points for supporters throughout the tournament. With the World Cup taking place during the summer season, the initiative is expected to enhance AlUla’s appeal among domestic and international tourists.
Visitors will be able to combine match viewings with trips to AlUla’s heritage landmarks and outdoor attractions, particularly during the cooler evening hours when recreational activities are most popular.
The experience is supported by a wide range of accommodation options, including luxury resorts, desert retreats and heritage hotels in AlUla Old Town.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to diversify the governorate’s tourism and entertainment offerings and strengthen its position as a year-round destination for visitors.
