The 14th Pomegranate Festival in Al-Baha, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, is attracting many visitors from inside and outside the region with its diverse agricultural, heritage, and cultural events that showcase the region’s agricultural identity and authentic local products.
The festival is one of Al-Baha’s most prominent seasonal events, serving as a vital marketing platform for farmers and an opportunity to promote the renowned quality of Al-Baha pomegranates, known for their distinctive taste and high quality in local markets.
Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s branch in Al-Baha Fahad Al-Zahrani stated that the festival builds on the successes of previous editions, adding that the festival’s goals include supporting farmers, marketing their products, and enhancing the economic value of Al-Baha’s pomegranate.
It also aims to raise community awareness about the importance of this strategic agricultural product, which is a cornerstone of agricultural development in the region.
The festival’s accompanying activities feature heritage performances, art displays, and exhibitions showcasing handicrafts and products from families working in the cottage industry.
