Saudi air defenses intercepted on Tuesday a second armed drone; fired by the terrorist Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards Abha International Airport.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition said the second attack in less than 24 hours by the Houthis is tantamount to a war crime.
Preliminary reports showed that shrapnel from the attack wounded eight people and damaged a passenger plane, it added.
Early on Tuesday; the coalition also said the Kingdom’s defenses downed an armed Houthi drone that tried to attack Abha airport.
It also condemned the Houthis’ repeated attempts to attack civilians and civilian locations; stressing it was taking the necessary operational measures to protect civilians and handle any imminent threat.
