Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claims strike on Amazon infrastructure in Bahrain

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced today that it had targeted infrastructure belonging to US company Amazon in Bahrain.

According to Reuters, there has been no official confirmation from Bahrain to independently verify the incident.

The Revolutionary Guard also claimed it destroyed a radar system and an F-15 aircraft in a missile strike on a US base in Jordan.

Earlier today, the Guard reported it had intercepted two oil tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, it said: "Two violating oil tankers attempting to pass through the unsafe southern route of the Strait of Hormuz were stopped after explosions caused extensive fires on board." The statement added that the strait would remain closed as long as US operations in the region continue.
