Russian forces target factories and facilities in Kyiv

Russia’s Ministry of Defense said that Russian armed forces targeted factories and facilities in Kyiv that support the Ukrainian military.

In a statement carried by Sputnik, the ministry said: “A fuel and lubricant tanker headed for the Ukrainian armed forces at the port of Chornomorsk was targeted.”

The statement added: “As a result of the strikes, an industrial facility in Kyiv (LLC ‘Combat Birds of Ukraine’) in the city of Bila Tserkva was hit. This facility produces various types of unmanned aerial vehicles. At this site, the company ‘Warbird Ukraine’ was developing and testing TRX drones with a strike range of up to 450 kilometers.”

The Russian defense ministry also confirmed that the ‘R-Blast’ logistics center in Bila Tserkva was targeted. This center produced and stored medium- and long-range drone munitions and is the largest logistics hub for the ‘Smart Ammunition’ company.

According to the statement, Russian forces also destroyed a significant amount of Western-supplied equipment during the operation, including German Leopard 2 tanks, numerous American and British armored vehicles, as well as other tanks and vehicles provided by NATO countries, all of which were destroyed in the Russian strikes.

Earlier today, the Russian defense ministry announced that its air defense crews intercepted and destroyed 384 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight and into Tuesday morning.

The ministry said: “Overnight, air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 384 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov, Oryol, Rostov, Saratov, Smolensk, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, and over the waters of the Black Sea.”
