US vice president says military option on table to stop Iran nuclear ambitions

US Vice President JD Vance has stated that the primary goal of the American presence in the region is to ensure Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons, noting that Washington has several tools at its disposal to achieve this objective, including the military option.

Vance said the United States employs a range of approaches in dealing with Iran, including diplomatic and economic channels as well as military options, stressing that the US continues to exert pressure to prevent Tehran from advancing its nuclear capabilities.

He added that Washington will make Iran pay a price for its attempts to disrupt oil and gas trade, highlighting that the US has made significant progress in this regard.

Vance pointed out that Iran's efforts to close the Strait of Hormuz have not succeeded in halting international trade, emphasizing that large volumes of oil have continued to pass through the waterway, reaching up to 15 million barrels on some days.

The US vice president explained that Iran's inability to disrupt global trade reduces its leverage over energy issues, noting that Washington is working to prevent an energy crisis that Tehran is seeking to provoke.

Vance confirmed that oil prices have dropped significantly during Operation "Epic Fury," according to his statements.
