White House: Iran has exported no oil since blockade resumed

The White House has confirmed that Iran has not exported any oil from its coasts since the blockade was reinstated last month.

Meanwhile, US Central Command announced that 82 ships have been redirected and three disabled as part of the maritime blockade on Iran.

This statement came in response to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's claim that Iran sold around 90 million barrels of oil during the period of the interim agreement.

For its part, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to vessels attempting to pass without coordination with Iranian authorities.

The United States continues to enforce the maritime blockade and tighten economic sanctions on Iran to pressure Tehran into returning to the negotiating table without preconditions, while Iran seeks to assert control over the Strait of Hormuz. Mediators are attempting to revive talks and ease tensions between Washington and Tehran.
