EU urges Houthis to lift Taiz siege and allow vital aid access

The European Union has called on the Houthis to lift the siege of Taiz and allow food, medicine, and fuel to enter the city.

The EU mission in Yemen added that the bloc is following the situation in Taiz with deep concern, according to Al-Sharq.

Houthi militias have routinely worsened the humanitarian situation in areas under their control in Yemen, often using civilians as human shields.

Yemeni government forces continue to confront the Houthi militias on all fronts and work to reclaim areas the group has attempted to seize.
