Kuwait seizes largest drug haul in its history worth $486 million

Kuwaiti authorities have seized the largest drug haul in the country’s history, with a total value of around 150 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $485.9 million), according to the Ministry of Interior.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah said the security operation resulted in the confiscation of nearly five tons of raw pregabalin powder, as well as about four million capsules ready for sale.

Al-Sabah added that the seizure also included a fully equipped factory for producing the psychoactive substance pregabalin, along with specialized machinery for filling and packaging the capsules.

This operation is the largest of its kind in Kuwait’s history in terms of both the quantity of drugs seized and their financial value.
