Kuwaiti army: Iranian attack damages civilian company vehicles on Bubiyan Island

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense spokesperson, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Etwani, said the armed forces detected hostile drones in Kuwaiti airspace early today, which were intercepted and destroyed.

He added that the Iranian attack targeted several vital facilities, including a government site in the north of the country. Civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island were also hit, resulting in material damage from falling debris, but no casualties were reported.

The Kuwaiti armed forces affirmed their continued readiness and commitment to carrying out their duties efficiently, maintaining a high level of preparedness, and taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty and security in coordination with relevant authorities, ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.

The Kuwaiti army earlier stated that its air defenses had intercepted hostile drones following the Iranian attack, and urged everyone to follow security and safety instructions issued by the authorities.
