Yemeni government forces announced that 16 Houthi fighters were killed and others wounded during clashes on the Al-Shaqab front, south of Taiz city. Forces from the 35th Armored Brigade reported capturing a team affiliated with the group, allegedly responsible for operating drones, as government troops repelled Houthi attacks and launched airstrikes on Houthi positions across several fronts in the province.

On the Al-Shaqab front, government forces said they repelled a large-scale Houthi assault after nearly eight hours of fighting, resulting in the deaths of 16 Houthi fighters and injuries to others.

On the Al-Aqroudh front, government forces and popular resistance reported thwarting a Houthi attack on military positions at Jabal Duhaih, after the attackers attempted to advance in several waves. They added that the Houthis launched a second assault on the mountain since Friday morning, with clashes continuing in the area.

Amid these confrontations, the 35th Armored Brigade of the Yemeni army announced the capture of a Houthi team on the Al-Aqroudh front in the Kahlan area, southeast of Taiz, claiming the team was responsible for drone operations. The brigade did not provide details on the number or identities of those detained.

In related air operations, the armed forces said they carried out airstrikes on Houthi positions and gatherings in various parts of the province. Three strikes reportedly targeted locations at the Al-Hangar checkpoint and the Maqbaba and Al-Kamil hills in the Al-Dhabab area, west of Taiz city.

Other airstrikes targeted Houthi military build-ups, weapons, and equipment east of the Al-Shaqab front. The armed forces also reported an airstrike on a Houthi tank at the Ghorab School in northwest Taiz.
