Only four cargo ships passed through Strait of Hormuz on Thursday: Kpler

Data from Kpler, a company specializing in vessel tracking and maritime analytics, showed that only four cargo ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, a decrease from six ships the previous day.

Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it had targeted an oil tanker flying the Togo flag as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, accusing it of crossing the strait "illegally."

According to Iranian state media, the Revolutionary Guard's naval forces said the oil tanker, named Trend, stopped after a fire broke out on board.
