Oman condemns drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, voices support

Oman has condemned the drone attacks that targeted Saudi Arabia, expressing its strong rejection of these assaults.

In a statement issued today, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Oman's solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The statement stressed the need to halt such attacks and refrain from any actions that could threaten the security and stability of the region.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced that several drones had been intercepted and destroyed in recent hours after attempting to target oil facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh.

Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, said that air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed the drones, noting that the attempted attacks originated from Iraqi territory.

Al-Maliki added that these terrorist attempts were carried out by Iran-backed terrorist militias, affirming Saudi Arabia's inherent right to defend itself and its assets, and its right to respond at the appropriate time and place.
