Russian drone strikes on Kyiv kill two, injure nine: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that two people were killed and nine others injured in Russian drone attacks targeting fuel stations in the capital, Kyiv.

In a post on his social media accounts, Zelensky said Russian forces carried out Shahed drone attacks throughout the day on the capital. He noted that the strikes targeted fuel stations in Kyiv, resulting in two deaths and nine injuries.

The Ukrainian president added that the attacks also hit the regions of Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Odesa, Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv.

Earlier on Friday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced it had targeted a data center, ships, and facilities belonging to the military industry and logistics sectors in various parts of Ukraine.

Russia has been conducting a military offensive against Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Moscow says it will end the campaign only if Kyiv abandons plans to join Western military alliances, a demand Kyiv considers interference in its internal affairs.
