Turkish foreign minister: Israel's actions no longer go unanswered

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Israel's isolation on the international stage is steadily increasing, noting that "the injustices and massacres committed by Israel are no longer met with silence as they were in the past."

Speaking at a press conference in New York following his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Fidan explained that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the assembly addressed the situation in Gaza and the latest developments regarding tensions with Iran.

The Turkish foreign minister also noted that his country held discussions about the "Mecca Pact," adding, "There are certain military threats targeting Saudi Arabia, which were also discussed." He stressed that Turkey continues to work intensively to create a conflict-free and peaceful environment in the region.

Regarding US-Iranian talks aimed at resolving the conflict between the two countries, Fidan said, "The positive aspect is that efforts are ongoing, but the negative side is that they have not yet produced results." He emphasized that "the priority should be to continue working through diplomatic channels, without allowing a conflict environment or a renewed war."
