Trump closer than ever to major strike on Iran, Israeli official says

An Israeli official has said that US President Donald Trump is closer than ever to launching a major strike against Iran, although a final decision has not yet been made. The official added that the United States has informed Israel it will send dozens of additional refueling aircraft to the country.

According to Israel's Channel 12, Israel is preparing for the possibility that Iran may initiate an attack or that President Trump could give Israel the green light to participate in a strike, with the situation described as being on the verge of escalation.

The Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israel's security establishment has raised the alert level of its defense systems amid rising regional tensions and expectations of a large-scale strike on Iran.
