Rosatom resumes deployment of specialists to Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant

Russia's Rosatom announced on Monday that it has begun returning specialists to Iran to work at the Bushehr nuclear power plant, with the first five experts already resuming their duties.

According to Russia's Sputnik news agency, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev said the company plans to send the next group—comprising dozens of employees—to the Bushehr plant within the next two weeks, provided there is no further escalation in the region.

Likhachev also confirmed that construction work on new power unit buildings at the Bushehr nuclear plant in Iran is ongoing.

He added that main and auxiliary buildings for the second and third units are under construction at the site, and preparatory work has begun on water facilities.
