Trump accuses Iranian authorities of failing to pay military salaries

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused Iranian authorities of failing to pay salaries to large segments of their military forces, describing Tehran as "on the verge of collapse."

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump said the Iranian government "kills protesters, even when they are not protesting, and at an unprecedented level."

He added that the situation in Iran constitutes a "massive humanitarian crisis that must be stopped now," stressing the severity of what he called ongoing abuses against civilians.

Trump also noted that the developments in Iran threaten internal stability and further exacerbate the country's economic and social crisis.
