Key Takeaways
AIPolitical analyst Tarek Al-Shami said that Washington is warning Tehran not to miss its final opportunity.
Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya FM, Al-Shami explained that J.D. Vance, who served as a US senator and is known for his hawkish stance, has presented Iran with a choice: either face war or comply on the nuclear issue to ensure regional energy security.
Al-Shami added that the United States is focused on preventing any Iranian progress in nuclear activities or weapon development, safeguarding energy security in the region, and ensuring oil tankers can pass through the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions. If Iran imposes any restrictions, the US will avoid war.
He continued that if Iran does not comply, the United States would take military action against Iranian nuclear facilities, while maintaining its naval presence to secure oil exports from the Gulf. Al-Shami noted that the blockade on Iran may continue even after a strike on it.
