US investigates 50 military staff over Iran war leaks: NYT

The New York Times has reported that an investigation is underway involving around 50 members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff body regarding leaks of information to the media about the US war on Iran.

This comes after US media outlets published reports claiming the Pentagon is facing an ammunition shortage due to the war on Iran, a claim later denied by US officials.

The American war on Iran has also cast a shadow over global energy supplies. President Donald Trump stated that the region is witnessing extensive construction of a large number of oil pipelines and routes, which will provide alternative energy transport options and reduce total dependence on vital maritime passages.
