Iran ready to reciprocate if US returns to Islamabad memorandum, says president

Iranian President Masoud Bazeshkian said that if the United States returns to its commitments under the Islamabad memorandum, Tehran will immediately take similar action.

Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by Al-Sharq, Bazeshkian stated that "sustainable security is not achieved through confrontation, but through mutual trust, respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and cooperation between governments."

Meanwhile, US Vice President De Vance told Fox News that he does not believe the Iranian regime is acting with a clear and strategic vision, noting that Iran's leadership is willing to do anything, without strategic calculation, to disrupt the flow of oil and gas.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said yesterday that all countries are concerned and want to end the conflict between Iran and the United States as soon as possible.

The Iranian minister added that the return of the United States to its commitments would allow matters to return to the right track.
