Israeli artillery targets area near Beit Jinn in rural Damascus

Israeli forces shelled the area around Bat Al-Warda hill near the town of Beit Jinn in western rural Damascus on Friday, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). No casualties have been reported.

The shelling followed an earlier artillery strike on the outskirts of Beit Jinn earlier in the day, marking the latest in a series of Israeli attacks in the region.

The vicinity of Bat Al-Warda hill was previously targeted by Israeli shelling on September 5. The following day, Israeli forces shelled the village of Al-Mashaala in northern Quneitra, resulting in the death of several sheep.

Syria accuses Israel of repeatedly violating the 1974 disengagement agreement through incursions in southern Syria, raiding civilian homes, making arrests, bulldozing land, and launching attacks with artillery and other means.

Damascus continues to demand Israel's withdrawal from Syrian territory, asserting that all Israeli measures are null and void under international law. Syria also calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
