Trump: More strikes planned against Iran, war to end after US election

US President Donald Trump said the United States will launch more attacks on Iran, stressing that Iran is in a "very bad situation."

Trump warned that the entire world would face a major problem if Tehran acquires a nuclear weapon, while also indicating that the US may resume negotiations with Iran.

He added that he believes the war with Iran will end immediately after the US presidential election, noting that the sanctions imposed on Iran have been effective, and announcing the destruction of nine Iranian oil tankers.

Trump reiterated that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz, and pointed out that inflation in Iran has reached 300%, describing Iran's situation as very bad.

In a separate context, Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to reach an agreement on the war in Ukraine, and predicted oil prices would drop sharply after the midterm elections.
