Iran says talks with Oman on Strait of Hormuz progressing positively

Iran's foreign ministry has said that ongoing discussions with Oman regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz are progressing positively, adding that there has been no change in the current status of the region.

The ministry clarified that there are no direct talks with the United States at present, noting that intermediaries continue to relay messages between Tehran and Washington.

The foreign ministry added that indirect communication channels remain open, and that dialogue with Muscat aims to maintain stability in the Strait of Hormuz.
