One dead, 15 injured after car plows into crowd at Berlin event

Berlin police said a car drove into a crowd near celebrations in the German capital on Saturday evening, resulting in one death and 15 injuries.

Police added on X that they, along with emergency teams, were responding to an incident in Tiergarten park in central Berlin, near the Brandenburg Gate, where a vehicle struck several people.

Police stated, "We are conducting an extensive search for suspects."

Hundreds of thousands had gathered in Berlin for the annual Christopher Street Day event before the incident brought the celebrations to an abrupt end.
