Armed attack attempt on Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton foiled at public event

Authorities in Ohio have thwarted an armed attack targeting Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton during her appearance at a public event.

Fox News reported that highway patrol officers detained an armed man as he attempted to approach Acton in the crowd.

Police found two handguns and a stun gun in the suspect’s possession. Several attendees were injured in the rush to flee the scene.
