Trump says US will win Iran conflict soon, military strikes still possible

US President Donald Trump said in remarks carried by Fox News that the United States will achieve victory in the conflict with Iran "very soon," noting that the country is succeeding on both military and economic fronts.

Trump added that the US is "winning the war through economic pressure on Iran as well as military action," stressing that the main goal is to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Regarding military operations, Trump said that returning to military strikes remains an option, adding: "But I simply don't want to say that."

On oil markets, the US president predicted that prices would fall to pre-conflict levels after the confrontation ends, saying oil prices will drop "as soon as the war is over."
