Qatar condemns Israeli settler attacks on West Bank villages

Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of Israeli settler attacks on several villages in the occupied West Bank, describing them as an extension of Israeli policies aimed at escalating violence against the Palestinian people and a blatant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.

In a statement posted on its official account on the X platform, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said these acts reflect the approach of the Israeli government in enabling settlers to commit further violations and assaults under the protection of the Israeli army and security forces. The ministry called on Israel to fulfill its obligations under international law and international humanitarian law, to put an end to settler attacks, and to hold the perpetrators accountable.

The ministry also urged the international community to take urgent action to stop the repeated Israeli assaults, provide protection for the Palestinian people, hold those responsible for these escalating attacks accountable, and ensure they do not escape punishment.

The ministry reaffirmed Qatar's firm position on the justness of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
