Iran accuses US of violating international law with threats to nuclear sites

Iran's foreign ministry has condemned repeated US attacks and threats against its nuclear facilities, describing them as blatant violations of international law.

In a statement carried by Al Jazeera, the ministry said the US's "obsessive" focus on certain areas, such as the Kolang region—which it said has no nuclear activity—serves only as a transparent pretext to justify aggression.

Earlier today, Iranian Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami stated that many had anticipated Iran's defeat, but, by God's will, the Iranian people prevailed.

Hatami, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, said the United States must recognize Iran as a credible power and respect the dignity of the Iranian people.

He added that Iran is aware the enemy will not abide by the memorandum of understanding and could act recklessly, stressing that the country has not hesitated to take steps to strengthen its military capabilities.
