Qatari mediators expect US, Iran response to new proposal within 36 hours

A source told Reuters that Qatari mediators expect a response from the United States and Iran within 36 hours regarding a new proposal.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has granted them the authority to negotiate, adding that "no one will benefit from war."

Negotiations between the United States and Iran have stalled due to Iran's insistence on preconditions, despite the ongoing US naval blockade that has shaken Iran's economy.
