Yemeni army operations are self-defense, says political analyst

Political analyst Dr. Aref Abu Hatim praised the Yemeni army for carrying out 181 operations within 24 hours.

Speaking in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya Radio, he said the operations are acts of self-defense and a response to sources of threat. He called for intensifying these efforts and targeting Houthi camps to eliminate the terrorist militia.

He added that the Houthi militia seeks to target the government and Yemeni interests at will, but the Yemeni army, using drones, has managed to destroy Houthi military vehicles. He noted that the legitimate government has not yet decided to launch an offensive against the Houthis.

The analyst said all Yemeni army operations are defensive in nature, with no decision made to attack. The focus remains on targeting drone launch sites and Houthi trenches, as the legitimate government aims to preserve the peace roadmap.
