Israeli attacks on Lebanon kill 4,352, injure 12,318: health ministry

Lebanon’s health ministry announced on Wednesday that two people were killed and eight injured over the past two days, bringing the total number of casualties from Israeli attacks on Lebanon to 4,352 dead and 12,318 wounded since March 2.

In a statement, the ministry said it had "recorded two deaths and eight injuries, raising the cumulative toll of the aggression from March 2 to August 28 to 4,352 dead and 12,318 injured."

The ministry did not provide details on the circumstances of the latest casualties. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to carry out daily violations in Lebanon, including shelling, incursions, and explosions.

On Friday, Israeli forces escalated their attacks in southern Lebanon, conducting explosions in three towns. A unit also advanced toward the town of Aita al-Jabal, setting fires on its outskirts, while artillery shelling targeted other areas.

Since March 2, 2026, Israel has continued its offensive in Lebanon, occupying areas in the south—some for decades and others since the 2023–2024 war—and has expanded its operations further into Lebanese territory during the current conflict.
