Jordan’s King vows to defend borders and water security

King Abdullah II of Jordan said he will not tolerate any threat to his country’s borders or water security.

In his address to the United Nations, he added that Jordan’s principles do not change with shifting global attention, whether a conflict began weeks ago or has lasted for decades.

He continued that Jordan’s commitment to diplomacy does not outweigh its dedication to humanitarian values, and no one should take this for granted or mistake it for weakness.

King Abdullah II also said that Jordan is a reliable country, true to its principles, committed to its positions, open to dialogue with all, and ready to work with anyone seeking peace.
