Trump says US ready to 'wipe out' Iran, claims destruction of radars

US President Donald Trump said the United States is ready to "wipe out Iran," which he accused of refusing to stop targeting ships.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump added that the US has destroyed many Iranian radars, including those Iran attempted to rebuild.

The president also stated that the aircraft carrier George Washington is fully armed and prepared to eliminate Iran, noting that Washington has given Tehran many chances. He continued: "Any agreement with Iran is not worth the paper it is written on, and our strikes are powerful."

A US official confirmed that attacks in Iran are ongoing, while Iranian media reported the sound of six explosions in Konarak and eight more along the southern coast of Qeshm Island.
