White House: All options on the table for Iran, no talks underway

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday that all options remain on the table for dealing with Iran, adding that there are currently no negotiations underway between Washington and Tehran.

Fox News quoted Leavitt as saying that the administration of US President Donald Trump is currently focused on the "economic exclusion" of Tehran, while Washington continues to set its priorities regarding Iran.

Leavitt reiterated Trump's position on the Strait of Hormuz, stating that "the Strait of Hormuz remains open," highlighting the importance the president places on this issue in his approach to developments involving Iran.

She also stressed that Trump's primary objective "has always been and remains to ensure that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon."

Commenting on the US military operation, the White House spokesperson said that Operation "Epic Fury," launched on February 28, "has been hugely successful in weakening the Iranian regime's military capabilities."
