Blast targets Syrian security forces bus near Damascus, several injured

Syrian state television, citing a security source, reported that a roadside bomb exploded on a bus carrying internal security forces in the Damascus countryside, resulting in several injuries.

According to the broadcaster, security forces immediately cordoned off the area to investigate the circumstances of the attack, conduct searches, and secure the site, while ambulance teams rushed the injured to receive necessary medical care.

Syrian television, as reported by Al Arabiya, added that authorities are following up on the incident and that investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemned an Israeli drone strike that targeted a civilian vehicle on the Mazraat Beit Jinn road in western Damascus countryside, which resulted in several civilian injuries.

In an official statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the attack constituted a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, a flagrant breach of international law, and part of Israel's repeated assaults on Syrian territory.
