Thirty-nine hospitalized, 19 critical after deadly fire at Canadian military base

At least 39 people were hospitalized, including 19 in critical condition, after a deadly fire broke out at the Canadian military's Wainwright base.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said Sunday that the injured were transferred from Canadian Forces Base Wainwright to four hospitals across Alberta. She noted that some suffered severe burns and may require weeks or months of intensive treatment.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier confirmed that four service members died in the fire, which erupted on Saturday during a military training exercise.
