Palestine welcomes Ireland's ban on imports from Israeli settlements

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has welcomed the passage of a law by Ireland banning the import of goods from illegal Israeli settlements built on occupied Palestinian land, following the signing of the bill by the President and the completion of all constitutional procedures for it to take effect.

The ministry stated that this move aligns with Palestinian diplomatic efforts to cut off support for the settlement system and reflects Ireland's commitment to international law and justice.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on other countries and parliaments to follow Ireland's example, activate international accountability mechanisms, and impose sanctions on the settlement system and its supporters, in order to help end the Israeli occupation.
