US denies visas to Iranian president’s media team for UN visit

The US administration has refused to grant entry visas to the media team accompanying Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to AFP.

An official from the Iranian presidency told IRNA that Pezeshkian will travel to New York tomorrow to attend the UN meetings.

IRNA also reported that US authorities have denied entry visas to other members of the Iranian delegation.

However, the US administration has granted visas to senior Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, to participate in the UN General Assembly meetings scheduled for this week in New York.
