The Yemeni armed forces announced that 60 civilians, including children, were killed or injured after a Houthi ballistic missile targeted Al-Makhaf village in the Al-Aqroud area of Taiz province. The attack reportedly occurred just hours after a similar missile strike on another village in the province.

In a statement, the armed forces said a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis struck Al-Makhaf village in Al-Aqroud, resulting in 60 civilian casualties, including children.

The statement added that the attack followed hours after the shelling of Al-Sulayha village in the Abdan district, on the eastern front of Taiz city, with a ballistic missile launched by the group from the direction of Mawiyah district.

Amid ongoing clashes in the province, the Yemeni armed forces, supported by the Popular Resistance, announced they had repelled a Houthi attack in the Habeel Al-Sarm area on the Al-Aqroud front, part of Al-Misrakh district.

They reported that the clashes resulted in casualties and equipment losses for the Houthis, while one soldier was killed and 14 others wounded from the armed forces during the confrontation.
