Muqtada al-Sadr urges Iran's Revolutionary Guard not to strike Iraq

Iraqi Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr has called on Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to refrain from striking Iraqi territory.

Al-Sadr added that if Iraq is targeted by enemy drones, it is an honorable matter, but if Iraqi land is struck by drones from Iran, it is regrettable, according to the Iraqi News Agency.

In a related development, Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi chaired a meeting of Iraq's top officials, including President Nazar Meidi, Speaker of Parliament Haibat Hamad Al-Halbousi, and Supreme Judicial Council President Faiq Zaidan, to discuss regional developments.

The meeting stressed the need to resolve regional crises, reduce tensions, and support dialogue and diplomacy to achieve peaceful solutions.
