Kuwait condemns ongoing Iranian attacks as flagrant violation of sovereignty

Kuwait has strongly condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks on its territory, the latest of which occurred today, describing them as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and a direct threat to the country’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

In a statement published by the Kuwait News Agency on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said these attacks constitute a grave breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry added that the continuation of such assaults comes at a time when regional and international efforts are underway to de-escalate tensions, calling the attacks a systematic undermining of these efforts.

The Foreign Ministry also stressed that Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents are inviolable, reaffirming the country’s legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and stability.
