Fifteen killed, 32 injured in truck overturn accident in Egypt's Ismailia

Egypt's Ministry of Health has announced that the death toll from a pickup truck overturning in Ismailia province has risen to 15, with 32 others injured. The vehicle was transporting workers when it crashed in front of the Al-Shabab power station on the Dawawis road, according to preliminary figures.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the ministry said the injured were transferred to Al-Qassasin Central Hospital to receive necessary medical care. Authorities are continuing to gather information and monitor the health status of those affected.

The injured are currently receiving treatment, while Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar is overseeing the medical response and has instructed that the highest level of care be provided, with ongoing monitoring of patients' conditions.

The ministry confirmed that full coordination is ongoing between its emergency and crisis room and health authorities in Ismailia to follow up on developments and manage the aftermath of the accident.

Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the emergency and crisis room is continuously monitoring the situation in coordination with the Health Care Authority and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Ismailia.

He added that the ministry has raised the alert level at hospitals, ensuring the availability of medical teams, medicines, and necessary supplies to handle the cases.
