US vice president urges Iran to change behavior for deal

US Vice President JD Vance said Iran must change its behavior in order to reach an agreement.

US Senator Marco Rubio stated that Iran has sought to acquire large numbers of drones, missiles, and conventional weapons.

He added that the Strait of Hormuz is currently open, with oil flows through the waterway nearing pre-conflict levels.

Iran is now seeking to backtrack after proposing a ceasefire, while the United States is responding to Tehran's demands from a position of strength, downplaying the significance of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran had used as leverage. The US aims to resolve the nuclear issue.
