US military redirects 94 commercial ships as part of Iran blockade

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces have redirected 94 commercial vessels, disabled three ships, and boarded two others as of September 7, as part of enforcing the US-imposed blockade on Iran and ensuring compliance with maritime restrictions.

The announcement was accompanied by the release of a photo showing an EA-18G aircraft taking off from the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) during night flight operations in the Arabian Sea, where the carrier is supporting the enforcement of the blockade on Iran.
