French military chief urges negotiated solution to secure Strait of Hormuz shipping

French Armed Forces Chief Fabien Mandon has called for a negotiated solution to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and contribute to regional stability.

He added that France is advocating for a global initiative, in cooperation with the British, to find a solution to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Al-Sharq.

Regarding Lebanon, Mandon said that the country's stability is part of regional stability, and any solution requires the participation of all parties. He affirmed France's readiness to assist the Lebanese military institution in finding solutions to ensure stability in southern Lebanon.
