Iranian media explains absence of audio recordings of new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei

Iranian media has revealed the reasons behind the absence of any audio recordings of the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The Iranian channel Hamshahri, which is affiliated with the Tehran Municipality, highlighted the advanced capabilities of intelligence agencies in analyzing audio files, explaining why recordings of the Supreme Leader are not released.

The channel explained that every audio file contains hidden data and indicators that can be exploited to extract precise information, such as the location and time of the recording, the surrounding environment, and even the physical condition of the speaker.

The report outlined several main aspects of audio analysis technology, beginning with the examination of environmental acoustics within a room. Sound reflections and echo duration can be used to estimate the size of the space, ceiling height, and the types of building materials used.

The report also noted the possibility of utilizing the frequency of the electrical grid (50 or 60 hertz), as electrical fluctuations leave a distinct signature in the background of recordings. This can be matched with databases to accurately determine the time and place of the recording.

The report, cited by Al Arabiya, discussed the technical fingerprint of recording devices, noting that every microphone or phone leaves a unique trace in the audio file, allowing identification of the device used. It also mentioned the analysis of background noise, such as ventilation systems, traffic, airplanes, or even birds and insects, to narrow down the geographic location of the recording.

The final aspect concerns voice biometrics, where the characteristics of the voice can be analyzed to reveal certain physical traits of the speaker, such as the nature of their vocal apparatus, as well as indicators related to their physical state and stress level during speech.

This discussion comes amid increasing Iranian emphasis on security measures and information protection, with growing reliance on artificial intelligence and digital analysis technologies in intelligence and cybersecurity fields.
