Bahrain condemns Houthi threats, affirms Saudi security is integral

Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the terrorist threats issued by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, stating that the allegations, incitement, and irresponsible escalation undermine regional security and stability. The ministry said these actions pose a serious threat to maritime navigation, international trade, and innocent civilians, in clear violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

In a statement released Tuesday, the ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing that the Kingdom’s security is inseparable from Bahrain’s own. The ministry expressed full support for all legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.

Bahrain also called for intensified international efforts to protect maritime security in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab Strait, and other vital waterways, to ensure the security of energy supplies and the continued flow of global trade.

The Foreign Ministry further reiterated its appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic, humanitarian, and development efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216. The ministry said these efforts aim to preserve Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to fulfill the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
